I had the pleasure of working with one of girls I got to know during my time at the University of North Florida. We were both involved in the professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. She got in touch with me about doing some "after" photos for her since she's been doing a workout challenge. I have to say, she looks pretty darn good!Keep up the great work Audrey! Can't wait to do even more photos in a couple months, I know you're gonna look even more incredible!I only wish I had the determination to hold myself to a workout and food regimen. Going back to Hogwarts - Vacation!

Another non shoot related post. Haven't done one in a bit. This one is from the trip I went to Universal at the end of July with my boyfriend and his family. I finally got to experience the wonder of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I've been waiting to go since it opened up. I didn't want to bring my DSLR since my boyfriend brought his, but next time I go, I'm definitely bringing mine! These are all taken with my old point and shoot camera, a Canon Powershot S2 IS.

If you haven't had the chance to visit, you HAVE to try the frozen butterbeer if you ever end up going? And if you have gone, which was you favorite part of this specific part of Universal? Let me know! =)

A best friend photoshoot!

A few weeks ago I did a shoot with my best friend. She came up to visit me and we just went out to the University of North Florida campus (my alma mater) to have some fun. We mostly stayed within the nature trails, but ventured out to the main campus as well. No serious model faces, just lots of fun and laughter. I always have a good time when we get to hang out!

I know we had fun doing this photoshoot and I hope it's showing how much I'm improving as a photographer! I learn more and more each time I do a shoot! Another post coming very soon from a shoot I did before this one with a bunch of other photographers!

Summertime Experimentation

So this summer I've been trying to expand my knowledge and experiment more with my camera. I've had my current camera for about a year and a half, and while I know a lot about it (manuals are a great help starting out! as well as the internet), there are still things that I don't have as much experience with, like long exposure stuff (which I got more of with my fireworks shooting), and night shooting which I think will always be challenging, until I get some of my own lights and such.

But anyways onward to some recent photos from the beach and my experimenting!

The last one is a mash-up of two images that I thought looked good. Little experimentation's like that can provide surprising results!

Happy belated 4th of July! Last night my boyfriend and I headed to Jacksonville Beach to watch their show. He likes messing with his camera as well so we had a lot of fun catching the show with our cameras and experimenting and learning. This was my first time really trying to get good shots of fireworks, and I think I did a pretty good job. I can't wait for New Years, I think we're gonna try and see Downtown's fireworks. We'll have to see how it matches up!

My brother's wedding!

My first post for this fresh new start is a couple of my favorite shots from my brother's wedding. He and his wife had been together for years, before getting married. It was a small wedding and a lovely one! They are so happy together and it's so wonderful seeing them a man and wife.

I was honored to be their photographer and was pretty excited to photograph my first wedding. It's a tough thing and I still have a lot to learn. I'm excited for what the future has in store!

A new start!

Hello! Hello!

I've had this photography blog for over a year and I've had ups and downs in posting, I realized it was time for a new fresh start. I have a domain name now (SO EXCITING! www.jenniferlouisephotography.com ). And I figured my whole blog needed a new beginning as well. Look out for great things to come! =) Lots more photo posts, lost more of everything.

Now that I've freshly graduated from college, this is a new start!
